Disrespect To Display Of The Flag
To the Editor:
I am a Vietnam Army veteran served in combat during the 68 Tet offensive. I was upset today [Saturday, January 26] while walking my dogs to see for a second day the flag pole next to the new temporary ice skating rink. The flag is destroyed and not flying as it should.
Yesterday, I was assured the by a police sergeant in the park at the time, this issue would be resolved.
I know this may seem like a small item; I don’t agree. I also know and knew fellow veterans that shed blood and life that would agree.
I hope by the time this e-mail reaches your desk the American flag is replaced and flying as it must.
Thank you for your attention.
