Volunteer Opportunities

DANBURY — The Volunteer Center, a leader in strengthening the community by connecting people to volunteer service, has a number of volunteer opportunities.

Memory Bears are given to individuals who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Volunteers are needed to sew these bears using a pattern and fabric from the loved one’s clothing.

Kindergarten Enrichment Program volunteers are needed in Danbury on Tuesdays or Thursdays during the hours of 11:45 am to 3 pm to assist with classroom activities.

Dream Fulfillment committee members are needed to visit homes of families who are applying for special dreams for children with terminal or ongoing illnesses. Volunteers will visit homes to interview family and child, fill out paperwork, and report at monthly meetings. A background check is required for volunteers.
