Choral Society Rehearsal Rescheduled

Newtown Choral Society, under the direction of Mary Andreotta, will hold an open rehearsal, Wednesday, February 2, at 7 pm, in the Newtown Middle School chorus room.

This will be the first rehearsal to begin preparing for its spring concert. Originally scheduled for January 26, the rehearsal was postponed one week due to snow that arrived in Newtown earlier that day.

Newtown Choral Society, now in its 24th year, is a nonaudition choir that welcomes members from all area towns. Call 203-426-3769 or e-mail lel-choirs2@se-ltd.com for more information. New members are welcome at the first rehearsal. There are openings in all voices.

The choral society will be preparing memorable choruses for this concert, which is scheduled for Sunday, May 8, at Newtown Meeting House.

The Newtown Choral Society performs two main concerts a year at the meeting house, as well as performing at weddings and other functions.
