Adopt A Cat From The Animal Center

The following cats and kittens are available for adoption through The Animal Center:

POP TART, PEACHES & PENNY: When Animal Center volunteers found Penny, Peaches, and Pop Tart in Sandy Hook, they were so sick that their illness nearly claimed their vision. But thanks the support of friends and members, these kittens were immediately brought into The Animal Center’s foster program, where eye surgery and several months of intensive medical care have made all the difference. Pop Tart, Peaches and Penny have recovered from surgery and would love to get adopted. Their vet calls them his little “Super Stars” because of their super-sweet personalities and amazing recovery.

CLARABELL showed up on a kind hearted family’s doorstep on Thanksgiving morning. She is very affectionate and friendly, so Animal Center officials know she belonged to a family at one time. They don’t know why anyone would have abandoned her, but they do know she’s so happy to be rescued. Her kittens have both been adopted, and officials are hoping that Clarabell can find a home for the holidays. She’s approximately 1 1/2 years old, spayed, and current on vaccines.

ERNIE is a friendly, 1 1/2 year old black and white male cat. He gets along great with other cats and loves to be petted. He is neutered and current on vaccines.

SAMANTHA is a beautiful and sweet calico who has a lot of love to share. She enjoys sitting in laps, purring and kneading your legs, or just relaxing by your side. She particularly loves having her chin rubbed and will reward you with soft finger licks or head-butt you affectionately if you stop too soon. Samantha had been living as a mostly-outdoor cat as part of a colony of friendly neighborhood strays. Samantha has been in foster care since the fall and the once shy cat is starting to come out of her shell, seeking and enjoying human companionship more than ever before. Sammie still sometimes gets startled by routine household noises and movements of a busy home, but who could blame her since this is the first time she has ever lived indoors fulltime. Though Sammie is hesitant around new people, Animal Center officials are confident she will blossom in a loving, cat experienced home. She is healthy and current on vaccines.
