United Way Seeks To Honor

An Outstanding Community Volunteer

DANBURY — The United Way of Northern Fairfield County is seeking nominations for an award that will honor a volunteer who has unselfishly made a difference in the community. The award will be presented at the United Way’s annual awards dinner in April.

Criteria for nomination are: A person who may work behind the scenes and is an “unsung hero”; someone who can be described as a “doer”; someone who has been involved as a volunteer for a number of years, and has had an impact on the greater Danbury community

To nominate someone for this award, send the United Way your name and phone number along with the name, address, and phone number of the person been nominating. In addition, describe the nominee and the organizations(s) the nominee has been involved in, including their approximate number of years of involvement and some achievements that should be recognized.  Be sure to specifically address the ways in which the nominee meets the award’s criteria.

Return nominations to Kim Connolly at the United Way of Northern Fairfield County, 85 West Street, Danbury CT 06810 or kim.connolly@uwnfc.org or Fax 790-5182 by February 14.
