Reverend      John C.     Mitchell

The Reverend John Charles Mitchell, a retired priest of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Bridgeport, died on Saturday, January 22, at Saint Mary Home in West Hartford. He was 75 years old and died of natural causes.

Father Mitchell was ordained to the priesthood on April 27, 1955, in Saint Augustine Cathedral in Bridgeport, by Bishop Lawrence J. Shehan.

He served at St Rose of Lima Parish in Newtown (1959).

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St Augustine Cathedral in Bridgeport on January 25.
