Jewelry Sale Will Help Local Vocalist

Vocalist Kari Frawley of Newtown has just left for Sydney, Australia, to begin her studies at the prestigious Hillsong International Leadership College. Ms Frawley was the praise and worship leader and lead singer of the local Christian rock and contemporary band Compelled, which has been performing frequently at area coffee house and performance events.

Her major at Hillsong is music ministry leadership. Hillsong is committed to raising, training and equipping a leadership generation … to build a large Bible-based church, to change mindsets, and to empower people to lead and impact every sphere of life.”

In order to help Ms Frawley with financial support for her studies, The Homesteads At Newtown Senior Living Community is hosting a sale this weekend of affordable, high fashion jewelry by Premier Designs. Over 500 selections will be available including watches, sterling silver, Swarovski Crystal, marcasite, CZ, natural and simulated stones, faux pearls, enamel, and silver and gold plated pieces.

The sale will be Sunday, January 30, from noon to 5 pm. Twenty-five percent of the afternoon’s proceeds will benefit Ms Frawley.

All purchasers will be entered into a raffle for free jewelry. There will also be door prizes, and refreshments will be served.

The Homesteads At Newtown is at 166 Mt Pleasant Road (Route 6) in Newtown. For more information, call The Homesteads at 426-8118.
