Free Tax Guide On Disabilities

The parent of a child with a disability is entitled to many income tax deductions as “Medical Expenses,” provided the expenses are made to alleviate the child’s mental or physical condition.

For a free, complete list of what is deductible, send a 37-cent stamped, self-addressed #10 envelope to Connecticut Association for Children And Adults with Learning Disabilities (CACLD)/Tax Guide, 25 Van Zant Street, Suite 15-5, East Norwalk CT 06855.

CACLD is a regional, nonprofit organization that supports individuals, families, and professionals by providing information, education, and consultation while promoting public awareness and understanding. CACLD’s goal is to ensure access to the resources needed to help children and adults with learning disabilities and attention deficits achieve their full potential.
