A special event planned by Newtown Parks & Recreation for Friday night has been postponed.

Snow Much Fun, a family event planned for Friday, January 28, has been rescheduled to Friday, February 11. Ironically, the new date was announced due to a forecast for inclement weather including snow.

The event is also moving, from Fairfield Hills to Dickinson Park, 50 Elm Drive.

Snow Much Fun will a celebration of winter with games, a DJ, winter tractor rides, a bonfire, and more. Weather permitting there will also be ice skating.

Cost is $3 per person, and registration is requested.

Fork in the Road food truck will also be at the event, with warm food for purchase.
