While a statewide travel ban that had been in place during the overnight hours has been lifted for Fairfield and Litchfield counties, town and state crews are still working this morning to clear the roadways as snow continues to fall. Many businesses will not be opening today, or will be opening late.

Newtown Municipal Center and all town offices are closed today.

C.H. Booth Library announced on Monday that it will not open today.

Edmond Town Hall will be closed today. Movie screenings will resume tomorrow.

The opening reception for "Color in Winter Show & Sale," an exhibition of works by members of The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown, scheduled to take place tomorrow afternoon at Newtown Municipal Center, has been postponed. Show Chair Suzanne Molineaux told The Newtown Bee a new date is being planned, TBA.
