The Newtown Chamber of Commerce will present the first ever Martini Madness Tasting & Competition on Thursday, January 30, in The Alexandria Room at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street in Newtown. The Chamber’s annual meeting will be held from 5:30 to 6 pm, and the martini tasting is then open to the public from 6 to 8:30 pm.

Local restaurants and vendors will send their best mixologists to compete for the title of Best Cocktail in Newtown. Some of the competitors include Sal e Pepe Contemporary Italian Bistro, Fusion 25, Toro, and Foundry Kitchen & Tavern.

Attendees will have the opportunity to taste a small sample of each cocktail and vote on their favorites. At the end of the night, the mixologist with the most votes will win a special prize and bragging rights for the best cocktail in Newtown. In addition to the martini tasting, guests can enjoy hors d’oeuvres, live music and participate in a silent auction.

Tickets are $20 for those participating in the tasting, and $10 for designated drivers. Everyone is welcome to attend. Tasting guests 21+ are invited to taste and vote on their favorite cocktails. Designated drivers are invited to take part in the festivities, but not the tasting.

Attendees are encouraged to drink responsibly.
