Board Of Education Schedules Budget Meetings

The Newtown Board of Education is scheduled to meet on the following dates and times to discuss upcoming budget decisions. Dr Evan Pitkoff will present the superintendent’s proposed budget to the Board of Education on Tuesday, January 31, at 7 pm, in the lecture hall at the high school.

The Board of Education budget workshop on elementary, intermediate, middle, and high schools will take place on Thursday, February 2, at 7:30 pm in the Reed School media center.

On Tuesday, February 7, the Board of Education will convene to hold a budget workshop on special education, curriculum, technology, benefits, and transportation needs. The session will start at 7 pm with a question and answer period for the public, and will be held in the Reed School media center.

On Thursday, February 9, the Board of Education will meet to vote on the proposed budget at 7:30 pm in the Reed media center.
