Charged With Trespassing
Police said they charged three men, who were riding off-road motorcycles, with trespassing on the night of January 22.
Police said they went to the Botsford Hill Road area about 5:15 pm in response to a report that illegal off-road motorcycle riding was underway.
The trio was located on property owned by the Housatonic Railroad, police said. The three men said that they had been riding motorcycles at a nearby sand-and-gravel mine, police report.
Police charged each of the three with simple trespassing and also with trespassing on railroad property. Charged were Jonathan Valveroe-Zuniga, 27, of Bridgeport; Angel Zuniga, 23, of Winsted; and Esteban Jimenez, 22, of Norwalk.
Each of the men is facing $228 in fines for the offenses, according to police.
