*HAT CITY BLUES BAND is on the road this weekend, returning to Redding Roadhouse on Saturday night. Showtime for January 27 is 9:30. The roadhouse is at the junction of Route 53 and Route 107; call 203-938-3388 for additional information.

Other shows on the band’s schedule include February 2 at Ziggy’s in Fairfield (548 Kings Highway; telephone 203-254-7911); February 17 at The Georgetown Saloon in Redding (8 Main Street, Georgetown section of town; telephone 203-544-8003); and February 24 at Jimmy’s Seaside in Stamford (891 Cove Road; telephone 203-964-9225).

*JOHN VOKET will be headlining next weekend at Proud Mary’s, the lounge at The Inn at Newtown. While he has a series of shows scheduled through June at two locations in town that are meant as fund- and awareness-raisers for the 2007 Newtown Relay For Life, next Friday’s show is a non-Relay fundraiser.

John will be set up in the lounge at 19 Main Street from 8:30 until 11:30 pm on Friday, February 3.

His next Shining On For The CURE Tour should will be on February 16, also at Proud Mary’s.
