Church Hill DUI

Police said they received a 911 telephone call on the night of January 24, concerning an erratic driver on Church Hill Road. The caller reported that the driver had pulled into a commercial parking lot at 30 Church Hill Road.

Police said they went to the area and located the motorist, after which they gave him field sobriety tests. Police charged the driver, Thomas Wendel, 52, of Danbury, with driving under the influence.

After processing, police released Wendel on $50 bail for a February 7 appearance at Danbury Superior Court.
