Returns This Weekend

Newtown United Methodist Church, at 92 Church Hill Road in Sandy Hook, will host the return of its monthly coffee house on Saturday, February 5. The 1st Saturday Jam Session will be led by Newtown’s own Roger Sprung. Mr Sprung, a well-known bluegrass musician, will be joined by his friend Hal Wylie and other musicians from throughout the area.

The evening will begin at 7:45 pm and is expected to last until at least 10:45. Bluegrass, folk, banjo and other music will be featured, and local musicians are welcome to join the performers in the jam session.

Admission is $4 per person, which includes coffee, soft drinks and baked goods/desserts. For those who attend the church’s spaghetti dinner preceding the coffee house, admission is just $3.
