Discovery Workshop Registration

Discovery Science Workshop Registration packets will be distributed this week to all Newtown elementary school schools. Mail-in registration will be from January 31 through February 5.

The workshop date is Saturday, February 26, from 9 am to noon, with a snow date of March 4.

Any Newtown child (grade k-5) may participate including home schooled children. Any questions call Dawn at 270-7541 or Maryann at 270-9040.

Please note two additional workshops have been added to the 2000 Discovery Science Workshops for grades 3-5.  The first workshop is A26 Forensic Exam for the first session and B27 Forensic Exam for the second session.  In this workshop you will learn fingerprint lifting and crime scene processing.  The second workshop is A27 How Computer Chips are Made for the first session and B28 How Computer Chips are Made for the second session.  In this workshop you will learn how computer chips are made through video, discussion and hands-on participation.  If you are interested in registering for these additional workshops please use the registration form included in the brochure distributed through the school system.
