Nicer In Newtown?
To the Editor:Our Sole Source for more information about saving our aquifer and the need to protect it before it is lost forever, Newtown's World Ep 10 Pootatuck Watershed Association video, at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqXEKglMuLA and Our Sole Source, Protecting Our Towns Water,ÃÂ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5huG7YPN-iI
Would retail space (doctors' offices, restaurants, banks, shops, etc) with buildingsÃÂ four stories high and 648 parking spots at the entranceway into our suburban community improve Newtown? This means more traffic, more accidents, more pollution, more noise, more light, more unused retail space and most of all, more harm to the watershed that serves half of our town's wells - all for greed and money that goes into the pockets of individuals that live in other parts of Connecticut. Stand up Newtown, and say No! Stop Hunters Ridge at 79 Church Hill Road before it is too late.
In reviewing this project, one might make the comparison of the future proposed project at Exit 10 to what you might see coming into Danbury on Route 84 between Exits 1 and 2.
