NEW YORK CITY â On the evening of Wednesday, March 21, the 16th presentation of Arts of Pacific Asia New York opens with a 6â9 pm preview at the 69th Regiment Armory, 26th and Lexington Ave, followed by four full show days March 22â25. Major textiles, as well as a comprehensive array of objects and fine art from Asia, the Middle East, the Pacific Islands and the Indian sub-continent, will be offered by the showâs 87 exhibitors.
This rigorously vetted show offers the most extensive presentation of Asian fine art and antiques assembled under one roof during New York Cityâs Spring Asia Week. Collectors, connoisseurs, curators or casual shoppers will be exchanged by an exceptionally varied range of works, including Japanese netsuke, Islamic metal work, prehistoric stone sculpture, Korean Rank Badges, Imperial Chinese costume, bronzes and ceramics from the Meiji period, a monumental Buddha, fine export porcelain, tiny snuff bottles, exquisite jades, scrolls, prints and paintings.
Arts of Pacific Asia has, since its first presentation in 1995, been critically lauded for its extensive range of superb works in a charming but relaxed setting at values as great as $500,000 and as accessible as $250. Arts of Pacific Asia is the oldest and largest major Asian art and antiques event on the East Coast and is produced by Caskey-Lees, Topanga, Calif.
Show hours are March 22â24, 11 am to 7 pm; and March 25, noon to 6 pm. Admission is $15 per person.
