Poetry Nights Returning To Aldrich

RIDGEFIELD — Returning by popular demand, Rhyme & Reason at the Aldrich Museum has returned to offer another season of open-mike evenings for poets. Scheduled Friday evenings in the 2000 series are February 11, March 10, April 7 and May 12.

Each session will run from 7 to 9 pm. A $5 donation is suggested. Seating is limited and reservations are recommended.

Celebrating its ninth season as an Aldrich Museum cultural program, Rhyme & Reason is excited to base the winter 2000 series on a celebration of regional poets, and extends the invitation to all those interested in participating. The diversity of poets is only rivaled by the variance in poetic formats.

At times past performances have included the word set to music and dance, as well as the word explored as a song in itself. Performances have also presented innovative collaborations between artists.
