About 100 guests attended the Chamber of Commerce’s annual dinner dance gala Saturday night at the Stony Hill Inn in Bethel. The guest list included local businessmen and women.

The event also marked the passing of the president’s gavel from Anne Ragusa, a local attorney, to Christina Maturi of Newtown Florist. Alan Clavette was elected vice president and Robert Carroll was re-elected treasurer. Also on the business agenda was the election of some members of the board of directors. Elected to three-year terms were Joseph Humeston, Roger Moore, Frank Gavel, Jr and Michael Neiman, while Don Droppo was chosen to serve a two-year term, filling a vacancy.
