Amy Lauretta

Amy (O’Lena) Lauretta, 87, of Bridgeport, died January 20 in her home. She was born in Hartford and was a Bridgeport resident for many years. She was the wife of Joseph J. Lauretta.

She was the sister of Francis O’Lena of Newtown.

She was a member of the Ladies Guild of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church.

In addition to her husband and brother, she is survived by one daughter, Kathryn Sherlip of Fairfield; three other brothers, Thomas O’Lena of Schenectady, N.Y., Harry O’Lena of St Albans, Vt., and Kenneth O’Lena of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one sister, Arline Krupp of St Albans, Vt.; two grandchildren, Susan Mehlman of Rockville, Md., and Joy Hultman of Basking Ridge, N.J.; four great-grandchildren, Danielle and Ross Mehlman, and Timothy and Lindsay Hultman; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held on January 22 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Ortega Avenue, Bridgeport. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.

The Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Road, Trumbull, was in charge of arrangements.
