Registrars Ask Voters To Respond To Canvass

The Registrar of Voters office has begun its annual canvass. This is to be done annually according to State Statute.

The Newtown Registrars chose to work with a national Change of Address system. Anyone with any changes to their address made through the post office should expect a canvass form from the Registrar’s office.

The Registrars have also decided to canvass anyone who did not vote in November’s election. The canvass form comes in a window envelope with red lettering.

Voters are asked to simply check the appropriate box, sign and return the form to the Registrar’s office by the due date.

Anyone with questions may call the Registrar’s office at 270-4250 or email either registrar: Karin.Aurelia@newtown-ct.gov or lereine.frampton@newtown-ct.gov.

The office is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9 am to 2 pm. Callers should leave a brief voicemail if the office is closed, providing your full name and a local number to return the call.
