John Edward “Harley” Miner, Jr, 57, of Covington, Va., died January 13. He was born January 20, 1951, in Newark, N.J., a son of John Miner, Sr, and Virginia Hull Miner.

Survivors include his four sisters and brothers, Kathy Ruffles and husband, Doug, Susan Body and husband, Doug, and Charles and Jeff Miner, all of Newtown.

He was a former employee of Lear Corporation and more recently assistant janitorial supervisor for Goodwill Industries. He was an avid New York Giants fan.

A funeral service was held January 17. Interment followed in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Covington.
