Button Shop Road
 A one-car accident occurred on the section of Button Shop Road near its intersection with Botsford Hill Road about 2:42 pm January 15.
Police said motorist Erica Woloszynski, 17, of 16 Winton Farm Road was driving a 1999 Ford Taurus sedan westward on Button Shop Road, when while negotiating a curve on the snow-covered pavement, the Ford went out of control, struck a residential mailbox near 35 Button Shop Road and then went off the street, striking a boulder and a tree.
Woloszynski was not injured. Police said they issued her a written warning for traveling too fast for conditions.
Intersection Crash
Police report a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Hawleyville Road and Mt Pleasant Road about 9:51 am January 13.
Wayne Belden, 29, of Daytona Beach, Fla., who was driving a tractor-trailer truck, was making a right turn from southbound Hawleyville Road onto westbound Mt Pleasant Road, as motorist Margaret Ehrhart, 66, of New Milford, who was driving a 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser behind the tractor-trailer truck, also started making a right turn, police said.
The two vehicles collided. There were no injuries. Police verbally warned Ehrhart for passing on the right.
Honda Vs Honda
About 3:21 pm on January 15, motorist Lynn Roeller, 60, of 10 Timber Lane was driving a 2005 Honda CRV westward on Wasserman Way and then stopped in preparing to make a left turn onto southbound Nunnawauk Road, according to police.
At that time, motorist Edward Choiniere, 19, of Bethany, who was driving a 1991 Honda Civic coupe westward behind the CRV, was using his vehicleâs windshield washers and did not notice that the CRV had stopped ahead of him, police said.
Choiniere then attempted to stop to avoid a collision, but the Civic hit the rear end of the CRV, police said. Both drivers refused medical attention, police report. Choiniere received a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart, police said.
Mt Pleasant Crash
About 8:04 am January 16, motorist Laura Bell, 47, of 10 Buck Trail, who was driving a 2005 Honda Odyssey minivan westward in the right lane of two westbound lanes on Mt Pleasant Road, stopped near 14 Mt Pleasant Road to inform a youth who was standing in the driveway there that local schoolsâ starting time would be delayed that day due to weather conditions, police said.
Police said that westbound motorist Barbara Downs, 46, of Oxford, who was driving a 2003 Ford Explorer SUV, initially did not notice that the Honda had stopped on the road.
The Ford then attempted to avoid colliding with the Honda, but drove into the Hondaâs rear end, police said. There were no injuries.
Police verbally warned Downs for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart. Police verbally warned Bell for improper parking.
Two Accidents
Police report that a local youth was involved in two separate motor vehicle accidents in Sandy Hook on January 16.
About 8:45 am, motorist Kenneth McCabe, 18, of 5 Far Horizon Drive, who was driving a 2000 Dodge Intrepid sedan westward near 11 Jeremiah Road, stopped suddenly to avoid colliding with a pedestrian who was crossing the road, police said.
Westbound motorist Ryan Lasher, 16, of 4 Cedarhurst Trail, who was driving a 1997 Ford Explorer SUV, then applied his brakes, but slid into the rear end of the Dodge, police said. There were no injuries.
Police issued Lasher a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
About 2:05 pm that day, Lasher was involved in another rear-end collision, police said.
Motorist Elizabeth Vendel, 17, of 14 Shady Rest Boulevard, who was driving a 1998 Volvo S-90 sedan northward near 10 Berkshire Road, stopped for traffic conditions, police said.
Lasher, who was driving the 1997 Ford Explorer northward behind the Volvo, told police that he attempted to stop the Ford, but the brakes did not work properly, and the Ford hit the rear end of the Volvo.
There were no injuries. Police said they had the Ford towed away for safety reasons. Police issued Lasher an infraction for following too closely.
Church Hill Collision
Motorist Alexio Valleso, 21, of Bethel, who was driving a 2006 Honda Civic coupe eastward near 20 Church Hill Road about 2:50 pm January 16, stopped the Honda, after which the Honda was hit from behind by eastbound motorist April Gaddis, 16, of 15 Fairchild Drive, who was driving a 1988 Jeep Cherokee SUV, police said.
There were no injuries. Police verbally warned Gaddis for following too closely.
Nissan Off Road
Motorist Alex Velush-Rogers, 24, of 45 Berkshire Road was driving a 2000 Nissan Maxima sedan westward near 40 Mt Pleasant Road about 7:30 am January 15, when the vehicle took a slight curve on the snow-covered pavement and then went out of control, sliding off the road and striking two curbside residential mailboxes, police report.
Velush-Rogers was not injured in the mishap, police said. Police gave Velush-Rogers a written warning for traveling too fast for conditions.
Ambulance Collision
Police report a collision between a Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps 2003 Ford F-450 ambulance and a 2008 Ford F-350 pickup truck at about 11 am January 16 on Great Quarter Road, near its intersection with Old Bridge Road.
The ambulance was traveling at normal speeds in making a routine transport of a patient to the hospital when the collision occurred, police said. There were no injuries, according to police.
Police said the ambulance was driven by Rabiya Ansari, 25, of 14 Sunnyview Terrace, and the pickup truck was driven by Justin Harding, 24, of Stevenson.
The two vehiclesâ left exterior rear-view mirrors collided with each other while the vehicles were traveling in opposite directions on the street, police said.
 Police said they were unable to determine fault in the collision and thus issued no enforcement action.

Subaru Vs Hyundai
About 7:24 am January 17, motorist Starr Wolfe, 53, of 25 Shepard Hill Road, who was driving a 2004 Hyundai Accent coupe, stopped for traffic conditions on westbound Wasserman Way while preparing to make a left turn to enter the Exit 11 on-ramp of Interstate 84, police said.
Westbound motorist Jennifer Jeffas, 28, of 139 Lakeview Terrace, who was driving a 2006 Subaru Impreza sedan, then stopped behind the Hyundai, after which the Subaru rolled into the rear end of the Hyundai, police said.
 There were no injuries. Police issued Jeffas a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
Berkshire Road
Police report a two-vehicle collision about 1:07 pm January 16 near 25 Berkshire Road.
Motorist David Athans, 55, of 20 Vining Road, who was driving a 2000 Chevrolet K-1500 pickup truck northward on Berkshire Road, stopped the truck for traffic conditions, after which northbound motorist Amy Doyle, 22, of 46 Horseshoe Ridge Road, who was driving a 1997 Dodge Stratus sedan, applied her brakes but slid into the rear end of the Chevrolet, police said.
There were no injuries. Police issued Doyle a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
Buick Vs Honda
About 2:36 pm January 16, motorist Jayna Emond, 21, of New Milford was driving a 1995 Honda Accord sedan southward on Main Street, when motorist Lorraine VanderWende, 83, of 32 Taunton Lake Drive. who was driving a 2005 Buick Century sedan, pulled out onto southbound Main Street from the Edmond Town Hall area and collided with the Honda, police report.
There were no injuries. Police issued VanderWende a written warning for failure to grant the right of way.
Vehicular Charge
Police report they responded to the scene of a disabled motor vehicle, which was stopped on South Main Street near its intersection with Elizabeth Street about 10:23 pm January 17.
After investigating, police charged the vehicleâs driver, Alfredo Loranca, 24, of Danbury, with driving with a suspended license.
After processing, police released Loranca on $200 bail for a February 3 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Warrant
After learning that police held a warrant for his arrest, Louis Silvestros, 56, of North Branford went to the police station on the afternoon of January 20 and was charged with three vehicular offenses.
Police charged Silvestros with failure to drive a reasonable distance apart, failure to renew a driverâs license, and failure to have automotive insurance. The three charges stem from a motor vehicle accident that occurred last September 21 near 112 Berkshire Road (Route 34).
In that accident, Silvestros was riding a motorcycle, which was carrying a passenger, that collided with a utility pole. The accident involved two noncontact vehicles. Both Silvestros and the motorcycle passenger were transported to the hospital for medical treatment following the crash.
On January 20, police released Silvestros on a written promise to appear February 3 in Danbury Superior Court.
Brushy Hill Road
At about 5:38 pm January 19, Marie Fodor, 62, of 190 Brushy Hill Road was driving a 2005 Lexus ES-330 sedan northward on Brushy Hill Road, in the vicinity of John Beach Road, when a deer entered the street, resulting in a collision between the animal and the auto, police said.
Fodor was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
South Main Street
Motorist Elizabeth Saparato, 22, of Danbury was driving a 2009 Saturn Aura sedan northward on South Main Street, near its intersection with Greenbriar Lane, about 5:05 am January 22, when the Saturn veered to the right and then struck four guardposts and a utility pole, heavily damaging the auto, police said.
Saparato, and passenger John Cipolla, 43, of Brookfield both complained of injuries, after which ambulance volunteers transported them to Danbury Hospital, police said. Hook & Ladder firefighters went to the accident.
Police said they gave Saparato a misdemeanor summons for driving while under suspension. She is scheduled to appear in court on February 2.
