*A schedule change to let you guys know about this week: Due to a calendar mix-up, OLD SCHOOL will not be appearing at Blue Chip in Danbury this weekend. No make-up date has been scheduled for that show, which was to have taken place on Saturday.

The duo is still on for January 28 at Proud Mary’s in Newtown, however.

*Also, if you are one of our readers who like to get the paper as soon as it comes off the press, this will help you: Due to this week’s weather conditions and continued forecasts, LORNA LUFT has been unable to travel and her January 20 show at The Ridgefield Playhouse has been postponed.

The Playhouse will be in touch with ticket holders, who will be able to use their current tickets for a new date in the fall, to be announced. Ticket holders should keep their tickets for their same seats to see Ms Luft.

*Tickets for DIERKS BENTLEY, who will be at the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford as part of the Jagermeister Country Music Tour on Thursday, March 17, will be going on sale this Friday morning. All tickets are $35 for this show, which will include sets by John Thompson and Miss Willie Brown.

Tickets will be available through LiveNation.com.

*Meanwhile, ROD STEWART and STEVIE NICKS have joined forces for one of the most anticipated musical events of the year, The Heart & Soul Tour. Shows will feature both artists performing full sets from their libraries, backed by an incredible band of musicians and stage production.

The megatour will be stopping at Mohegan Sun Arena on Sunday, March 27, at 7:30 pm. Tickets are $125 and $175 and will be going on sale Saturday, January 22, at 10 am, through TicketMaster.  If they do not sell out during the first 24 hours of being available, tickets will also be available at the Mohegan Sun Box Office beginning Sunday, January 23.

That’s is for this week, my friends. Stay safe. And with all the ice around, stay upright!

Until next week, I’ll be seeing you… on the road.

Questions and comments should be sent to Shannon Hicks c/o The Newtown Bee, 5 Church Hill Road, Newtown CT 06470, or shannon@thebee.com, or call the office at 426-3141. Shows listed at clubs are for ages 21 and over unless specified.
