Roseanne     Burke

Roseanne Burke, 80, of Norwalk, wife of the late John R. Burke, died Saturday.

She is survived by two daughters, Anne Burke Annesley and her husband Sean of Newtown and Peggy Burke of Norwalk; a son, John Burke and his wife Rose of Stamford; yhree grandchildren, Sarah Annesley, Betsy Burke, and Michael Annesley; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Michael Burke, and a sister, Ellen Boski.

Mrs Burke was born in Westport on January 26, 1924, daughter of the late Gerald and Anna O’Connor Brophy and resided in Norwalk most of her life. She had been a teacher in the Norwalk School System for 35 years. She was a member of St Jerome Parish and Women’s Guild of the church, a literacy volunteer, and a longtime member of Roton Point Association.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St Jerome Church, Norwalk.
