Photography In The Modern Age

FAIRFIELD — Diana Mille, PhD, the director of Walsh Art Gallery at Fairfield University, will deliver the lecture “Photography in the Modern Age,” on Wednesday, February 2, at 12:30 pm. The hour-long talk will cover photography from 1880 to 1918. Mille will consider how the modern age pushed photographers to reflect on his or her own status and tools of expression better suited to the period as American and European photographers began the passage from pictorialism to straight photography.
