Music For Little Hands Grand Opening
Is Scheduled For Sunday Afternoon
MONROE â Music for Little Hands, a music studio designed for children from birth to age seven, will open to the public on Sunday, January 23. An open house will be held between noon and 4 pm, and is open to the public.
The studio, at 115 Main Street in Monroe, will offer Kindermusik® classes, a retail shop with gifts geared towards children from birth to age seven, and childrenâs birthday parties.
The studio offers a complete developmental program through the Kindermusik program where both children and parents learn through music and movement. Leslie Waddell, the owner of Music for Little Hands, strongly believes Kindermusik provides a powerful experience for a child.
âThe many songs and activities in Kindermusik class enhance a childâs total development by strengthening physical, emotional, social and cognitive skills at a very early age,â explains Ms Waddell.
âTeaching children through Kindermusik has allowed me to experience the joy of watching children learn and grow through music,â she added.
The spring semester of Kindermusik classes begins January 28. Registration is currently open and classes are filling quickly.
Classes being offered this session are âVillage,â for newborns to 1½ years; âOur Time,â for ages 1½ to 3 years; âImagine That!â for ages 3 to 5; and âYoung Child,â for ages 5 to 7.
Music for Little Hands provides unique child-centered educational classes. Kindermusikâs philosophy, strictly followed by Ms Waddell, is founded upon rigorous research and the fundamental beliefs that every child is musical, every parent is the childâs most important teacher, the home is the most important learning environment, music nurtures a childâs cognitive, emotional, social, language and physical development, and every child should experience the fun and learning that music brings to life.
