Jeniann M. (DiPaola) Fisher

Jeniann M. (DiPaola) Fisher, 40, wife of James A. Fisher of Mt Pleasant Road,  died January 15 in Danbury Hospital after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Danbury on February 5, 1964, a daughter of Richard DiPaola of Newtown and the late Jean (Ginty) DiPaola. A lifelong resident of Newtown, Jeniann attended St Rose School and was a graduate of Immaculate High School, Class of 1982. She was a graduate of Fairfield University where she majored in economics and minored in French. For 18 years Jeniann was employed as a senior programmer analyst at Danbury Hospital until she retired due to illness in 2003.

Jeniann was a lifelong communicant of St Rose of Lima Church, where she was a currency engineer and was a longtime volunteer at St Rose School, helping with many activities there. She was a member of the Newtown Jaycees.

In addition to her husband and father, Jeniann is survived by her children, Jacqueline and Jeremy Fisher of Newtown; two brothers, Edward DiPaola of Brookfield and Raymond DiPaola of Stonington; a sister, Cecelia Dalzell of Sandy Hook; and several cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated in St Rose of Lima Church, January 19. Jeniann’s family would like to thank all those who helped them and showed kindness to them during her illness, especially the families at St Rose of Lima Parish, and they also thank the staff of Danbury Hospital for the excellent care Jeniann received there.
