James M. Nealy

James M. Nealy, 74, of Shelton, formerly of Bridgeport, died January 19 in St Vincent’s Medical Center, Bridgeport.

 He was the father of Paul Nealy of Newtown.

Mr Nealy was born in Bridgeport and was a lifelong area resident. He was a retired employee of the Town of Fairfield. He was a US Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #143 of Fairfield.

Survivors include another son, Patrick Nealy of Milford; one daughter, Sharon Peloquin of Trumbull; one brother, Francis Nealy of Bridgeport; one sister, Margaret Groholy of Fairfield; five granddaughters, Amanda and Megan Nealy, Stacy and Lisa Peloquin and Lori Coglitore; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral was held on January 22 in the Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Avenue, Bridgeport and in St Peter Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment was in Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield.
