Family Nature Walk At Devil’s Den

WESTON — Midwinter is a good time to see natural features ad Devil’s Den Preserve and to reconnoiter some of the trails fit for cross-country skiing or snowshoeing, if enough snow accumulates to smooth out the rugged trails. The red-blazed trails at the 1,746-acre nature preserve located on the Weston/Redding border are best suited for this kind of winter activity.

On Sunday, February 6, from 1 to 3 pm, trained natural history guides Barbara and Ed Wright will lead a family nature walk for people of all ages. The Wrights will talk about some of the local human and natural history at the Den and answer questions from participants.

There is no charge for this program, but reservations are required. For information, directions and reservations, call Devil’s Den Preserve at 203/226-4991. The Den is at 33 Pent Road.
