MONTVILLE (AP) — December turned out to be another good month for both of Connecticut’s American Indian-operated casinos.

Slot revenues for last month at the Mohegan Sun in Montville were $40.6 million, up 16 percent from a year ago.

At Foxwoods Casino in Ledyard, slot proceeds topped $53 million for the month, a 15 percent jump from the same period last year.

The state will receive 25 percent of the proceeds.

Last week, Foxwoods announced it had passed the $1 billion mark in contributions to the state.
