The St Rose of Lima Pro Life/Pro Family Committee will host a program by Peter Wolfgang on Sunday, February 2. Mr Wolfgang will discuss “Assisted Suicide And Euthanasia: Phony Compassion Or Cost Containment Measure? ” beginning at 1:15.

The program will be in the Knights of Columbus Hall, the building to the east of the St Rose sanctuary at 46 Church Hill Road.

Mr Wolfgang joined the Family Institute of Connecticut (FIC) as director of public policy in 2004. He became the executive director of FIC in 2007.

Mr Wolfgang has been on the frontlines in FIC’s fight against gay marriage. In 2009 he rallied Catholics to defeat CT Raised Bill 1098, An Act Modifying Corporate Laws Relating To Certain Religious Corporations. According to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), the bill would “force the Church to alter its structure in violation of its own religious principles.”

Mr Wolfgang holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Connecticut School of Law, and is a member of the Connecticut Bar. He also has a Bachelors Degree in International studies from The American University in Washington, D.C.

A freewill donation to benefit FIC will be received. Reservations are requested so that plans can be made for lunch. Call the St Rose Rectory Office at 203-426-1014.

Snow date is February 9. The program will be on the second floor of the building, and a chair lift is available.
