Boys 7th
Danbury 43, Newtown 34 â Josh Barrett scored 10 points and David Lucia added eight, but Newtown fell to a speedy Danbury team. Anthony Berarducci added four points as Michael Lengel, Austin Bonadio and Dan Gallagher paced the defense.
New Milford 53, Newtown 44 â Kyle Wilcox canned 15 points while Taylor Steimle and Trey Trudell combined for 11 more to lead Newtown. Dom Fedak, Josh Barrett and David Lucia anchored a solid defensive effort.
Newtown 48, St. Maryâs 37 â Taylor Steimle scored 13 points and Kyle Wilcox added 11 to lift Newtown past St. Maryâs in league action. Austin Bonadio, Anthony Berarducci and Michael Lengel powered a defense that forced six turnovers.
Girls 6th
Attack 33, Stamford 28 â Erin Kenning and Tressa Scott combined for 16 points while Clare Miles had a career high 19 rebounds to lead the Attack past Stamford. Suzie Gissen scored four points in the final quarter to seal the victory.
Attack 27, New Canaan 26 â Stephanie Roman and Maddie Good combined for 12 points while Meaghan Harkins dished off three assists and Brittany Tolla made three steals to notch another league win.
Norwalk 41, Attack 33 â In a battle with a dominant Norwalk team, Julia Trudell held the league leading scorer to six points on the day but the Attack still came up a little short. Samantha Steimle hit two key free throws to keep the score close. Bridget Power canned six points to lead the locals.

Newtown 54, Weston 35 â Connor Quinn scored 12 points with David Gerics and Kevin LeBlanc combining for 17 more to lead Newtown to an easy win over Weston. Matt Shannon and Nick Gerbo chipped in six points each as Newtown jumped out to an early lead and never looked back.
Newtown 49, Brookfield 36 â Newtown got off to a slow start and trailed at the half by two, but a strong second half surge left Brookfield in the dust. Connor Quinn (10), Dan Hebert (9), Christian Barrett (6), Matt Shannon (6) and Stephen Conway (6) led a balanced scoring effort that powered the locals to their fourth consecutive win and 11th in 18 contests.

Girls 5th
Brookfield 20, Newtown 8 â Kerry Scallon led all scorers with four points as Newtown fell to Brookfield in a tough, physical game. Jessica Principi and Mary Joe Rossi each had two points.
Darien 24, Newtown 10 â Mary Joe Rossi scored six points and Kerry Scallon added three as Newtown came up short against a strong Darien team. Danielle Shine tossed in a point as every team member took good shots and worked hard on offense and defense.
Fairfield PAL 25, Newtown 12 â Hitting the road again, Newtown came up against a tough Fairfield team. Mary Joe Rossi and Carley Ferris led the locals with four points each as Jaclyn Daily and Kristie VosWinkel tossed in two points apiece. Jenny Indelicato was a spark to the team with six rebounds. Kerry Scallon, Jamison Fletcher and Rebecca Grant had several key steels and rebounds while Jessica Principi and Danielle Shine were key contributors on the floor.
Wilton 13, Newtown 8 â Jamison Fletcher led all scorers with four points as Newtown fell to Wilton Kristie VosWinkel and Mary Joe Rossi had two points each in a tough, defensive battle.
Newtown 23, Weston 11 â In order to change the luck of the team the coach changed his tie and the assistant coach took a more casual approach and the locals ended up topping Weston in a non-league contest. Kerry Scallon canned eight points â all in the first half â as Mary Joe Rossi and Jaclyn Daily combined for nine more. Jessica Principi, Carly Ferris and Jenny Indelicato had two points apiece (Indelicato scored the final two points of the game and the first points of her travel career). Jamison Fletcher sunk a key free throw in the fourth quarter as Kristie VosWinkel, Rebecca Grant and Danielle Shine had several key steals, rebounds and fast breaks during the game.

Boys 5th
Weston 35, Newtown 21 â Weston played a strong defensive game, forcing Newtown to turn the ball over on numerous occasions. Jonah Muniz and Matt Hoyt combined for 10 points and played well on both ends of the floor. Bubba Leblanc, Connor Gallagher and Jim Parker played well defensively.
Newtown 43, Wilton 28 â Newtown played superbly in the first half, securing the victory. Mike Davis and Matt Mossbarger combined for 21 points and played strong overall games. Drew Tarantino and Jonah Muniz combined for 10 points and were strong off the boards. Grant Rickets and Chase Wurtz played well on both ends of the floor.

Junior Boys
Vipers 40, Wildcats 32 â Max Nacewicz had a solid second-half effort and canned 17 points to lead the Vipers to the win. Jeff Grasso, Jimmy Mooney and RJ Roman played well. For the âCats, Derek Krewson popped in 10 points and Matt Varek added eight. Jon Hull and Cole Baldino anchored the defense.
Hawks 41, Thunder 39 â Austin Ekstrom hit a key basket and free throw in the final seconds to lead the Hawks past the Thunder. Ekstrom finished with 10 points as Austin Jones (4 assists), Colin Morris (5 steals) and Patrick Sullivan (7 rebounds) had good floor games. For the Thunder, Sean Ross tossed in nine points with seven more coming from Will Arndt and six from James Rebman. Mike Terlaga and Doug Brodbeck (3 steals, 4 rebounds) had nice performances.
Hawks 48, Hornets 39 â Austin Jones poured in 22 points as the Hawks stung the Hornets. Trevor Carey, Brandon Body and Kevin Dill (5 rebounds) had solid floor games. For the Hornets, Matt Dos Santos and Ryan Powers combined for 17 points while Nick Hamilton grabbed eight rebounds. Gabe Ruiz and Joe Pieretti played well.
Eagles 46, Hawkeyes 28 â Will Northrup scored 12 points and dragged down 13 rebounds to lead the Eagles to the win. Dan Sclafani added 10 points and nine boards and Mike Zaccaro contributed 10 points, six rebounds and five assists. Travis Szalay added four points, four steals and four boards. For the Hawkeyes, Matt Swigart canned six points as Michael Terry and Tyler Covert (6 rebounds) played well.
Regulators 38, Hurricanes 13 â Sam Kerr popped in 14 points and Scott Wexler added six to lift the Regulators to the win. Alec Hooper was strong off the glass. For the âCanes, Sean Burson dropped 14 points into the tin.
Huskies 43, Rockets 38 â Mike Lord and Chris Haylon scored eight points apiece as the Huskies slipped past the Rockets. Kyle Hagerman dished off four assists while Theo Hartlett made five steals and Mac Morlock grabbed seven rebounds. For the Rockets, Mike Mossbarger popped in nine points while Rob Carroll dished off four assists and Ryan Crowell grabbed nine rebounds. Chad Magoulas anchored the D.
Gotham Gators 46, Thrashers 18 â Justin Brophy scored 12 points and Louis Raab grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Gators. Colin Cooper (5 steals) and Matt Hoffman played well on defense. For the Thrashers, Nick Saviano scored five points while Thomas DiLuoffo dished off five assists Rob Daigle made six steals and Trumble grabbed eight rebounds.

Bantam Girls
Mustangs 18, Rockets 16 â Megan Meier and Sarah Lynch led the scoring for their teams in this close, well-played contest. Nokomis Leaman-Lagsdon, Eliza Eggleston and Kathryn Kerins provided strong rebounding and defense for the Mustangs. For the Rockets, Kelsey Muniz and Meghan Powers played well.
Strikers 26, Lightning 20 â Tonya Tucker led the Strikers with 12 points in this high-scoring game. Taylor Lafave, Maddie Peck and Kristina Tolkuci provided the defensive pressure. For the Lightning, Kate Fallon, Kailee Dunnigan and Hannah Booth provided great defense, combining for 12 steals with Dunnigan blocking 3 shots. Offensively Booth, Shaina Errico and Michaela Nowacki combined for 18 points.

Bantam Boys
Wildcats 21, Huskies 14 â Colin Reilly scored seven points and Albert Dean pulled down five rebounds to lead the Wildcats to the win. Deegan Beuchemin made two steals and Forest Speed played well. For the Huskies, Bobby Archiere popped in four points as Connor Ryan contributed five rebounds. Kaj Djonne dished off three assists and Nick Cirone made three steals.
Heat 30, Killer Bees 27 â Colton Smith canned 12 points and Bobby Silver grabbed four rebounds to lead the Heat to the win. Andrew Pfeiffer dished off three assists and Tom Rahr made three steals. For the Bees, Michael Parker poured in 18 points as Jared Tenenbaum, Liam McInerney, Alex Klang and Kevin Conte (9 points) played well.
Rockets 28, Nighthawks 17 â Connor Roche popped in 10 points while Brennan OâSullivan had two points with four assists to lead the Rockets to the win. Keaton McCleary had an outstanding game with six points and solid offensive play. For the âHawks, Jason Ferrari had four points as Will Swain, Conor LeMay and Eric Huffman played well.
Knicks 30, Warriors 25 â Jacob Burden scored eight points and Andrew King had six rebounds to lead the Knicks to the win. Trevor Lopez dished off five assists while Devon Palilla had a solid floor game and Stephen Tramontozzi made five steals to power the defense. For the Warriors, Nick Roche poured in 13 points as Noah Velush-Rogers, Sean McCafferty and Tommy Shaker (6 rebounds) played well.
Raptors 30, Thunder 4 â Julian Dunn scorched the nylon for 20 points to lead the Raptors to the win. Will Dowling (5 assists), James Burdette (4 steals) and Marc Dowling (6 rebounds) had strong floor games. For the Thunder, Sawyer Conrad had four points as Jacob Hill, Andy DeWolfe and Nick Desario (8 rebounds) played well.

Blue Swish versus Huskies â Kayla DiSibio, Lindsay Hoyt, Marina Renzi and Isabel Pryor paced the Swish as Amanda Wikirama, Jordan Svanda, Alana OâDonnell and Maddie Bridges played well for the Huskies.
Yellow Peeps versus Eagles â Margaret Elkins, Jessica Maturo, Megan Nahmins and Lauren Villamanna played well for the Peeps as Jessica Shairer, Madeline Manfredonia, Sarah Annesley and Joanna Vodola led the Eagles.
Penguins versus Red Panthers â Tara Hegarty, Cayla Zuccarello, Megan Kelleher and Jillian Pieretti played well for the Penguins as Sarah Bender, Caitlyn Linden, Teagen Doherty and Lucy Helgren powered the Panthers.
Tigers versus Fighting Irish â Maddie Strokis, Emma Horne, Anna Buzzanca and Rachel Williams had strong floor games for the Tigers while Madison Pirone, Molly Begg, Emily Montoya and Quinn Karp played well for the Irish.

Yellow Lightning versus Huskies â Cole Terry, Jacob Steinebrey, Ethan Burg and Devin Peterson played well for the Lightning as Matthew Bucci, James Accousti, Michael Meyer and Brandon Johnson powered the Huskies.
Timberwolves versus Flames â Austin Carfi, Cole Rogalin, Graham Dowd and Colin Patrick had good floor games for the âWolves as Owen McInerney, Ryan McIntyre, Gordon Walsh and RH Clark played well for the Flames.
Nighthawks versus Blizzard â Michael Doyle, Matt Maturo, Adam Manes and Shawn McCarthy had nice performances for the âHawks while the Blizzard got fine efforts from Oliver Wood, David Anderson, Jack Lavelle and Andrew Janco.
Blue Jays versus Orange Crush â Matthew Kretz, Devon Luzietti, Ethan Carpenter and Patrick Conte paced the Jays as Jamie Cochrane, Tim VanderHave, Kevin Finnegan and Declan Sullivan led the Crush.
Exterminators versus Vipers â Joey Duero, Michael OâKeefe, John DelRossi and Michael Liberante played well for the Exterminators as Adam Robertson, Andrew Svanda, Colin McCafferty and Grant Larson powered the Vipers.
Chargers versus Purple Bandits â Luca LaDestro, William Whitlock, Sean Wallace and Tommy Leuci had good floor games for the Chargers as Gabe Barrett, David Berquist, Trane Kessler and Nick Samuelson played well for the Bandits.
Knicks versus Green Goblins â Liam Padilla, Patrick Briscoe, Noah Burhance and Andrey Masser played well for the Knicks as the Goblins received nice performances from Scotty Bauer, Kyle Haas, Dylan Cortese and Brandyn Chieffo.
Sharks versus Green Pythons â Quinlan Hart, Greg Trimarchi, John Pierece and Holden Turk paced the Sharks as Tim Pritchett, Clint Stergue, Zach Laros and Justin Dunn played well for the Pythons.
