Their Gift

Made A Difference

To the Editor:

I would like to express my sincere thanks to Howard Lasher (Santa), Barbara Romano, Jeanette Hubley Lasher, Michael Romano and Annabella (their wonderful dog) of Dreams Come True of Western Connecticut for coming to the 12 East Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Unit during the holiday season.

Not only did “Santa” visit our unit, but they gave all the patients and their families stuffed animals and brought their precious pooch Annabella.

The response of the patients was astounding. Words cannot describe the expressions and smiles on the faces of the patients. Their visit was the greatest gift of all. I only hope that Dreams Come True of Western Connecticut continues their program for a long time.

We greatly appreciate their time, energy, and generosity during the holiday season. Their gift made a true difference in the life of others and we thank them from the bottom of our hearts.
