SCOTTS VALLEY, CALIF. â Slawinski Auction Company will conduct its next antique auction on Presidentâs Day, February 19. Several San Francisco Bay-area estates will be represented at this sale, including paintings by Samuel S. Carr and James D. Smillie, both of which were owned by Grace Duncan, who lived in the Westchester County, N.Y. area, and worked in Rockefeller Center, New York City.
Other paintings in the sale include works by Joseph Kleitsch, Jules Dupre, Johannes G. Vogel, three by Alexander D. Goltz, Douglass Parshall and Joseph Pennell.
A collection of American furniture and accessories will also be offered at the sale, including a Eighteenth Century tiger maple desk, two painted dinner services attributed to Spode and Coalport, a Stella #202 upright mahogany cased music box with 25½-inch discs, a set of eight Wallace Nutting formal dining chairs, a Victorian rosewood marble top attributed to Roux, a pair of walnut beveled glass corner cabinets, an assortments of Stickley furniture and other furniture.
The sale will be at 251 Kings Village Road. Preview is Saturday and Sunday 1 to 6 pm weekend of the auction and on auction day beginning at 8 am..
