On the night of January 11, police charged Stanley Siebert, 65, of 7 Parmalee Hill Road on a warrant at his home.

Police arrested Siebert on charges of second-degree failure to appear in court, driving an unregistered vehicle, driving without automotive insurance, and misuse of marker plates.

The motor vehicle charges stem from an incident last October 13, when police observed a vehicle driven by Siebert in the parking lot at Newtown Shopping Village on Queen Street, on which they ran a computer-based records check. After Siebert drove away from the shopping center, police stopped him on Wendover Road and lodged the motor vehicle charges.

Police said that Siebert had failed to make a scheduled appearance in Danbury Superior Court on December 8, so a rearrest warrant was issued by the court against Siebert.
