WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Phillips Collection will present an Artful Evening gallery talk, “Curator’s Perspective: Land, Sea and Sky — Introduction to American Impressionism,” on Thursday, June 21, at 6 and 7 pm.

Assistant curator Susan Behrends Frank will examine how the impressionist aesthetic enriched American painting at the turn of the Twentieth Century. Frank will focus on how American impressionists gave a fresh interpretation to the country’s landscapes and cities.
