WEST HARTFORD, CONN. — The 22nd annual glass, pottery and china show and sale, sponsored by the Mountain Laurel Glass Club of Connecticut, will be presented on March 9–10, at St Mark’s Parish Center.

Outstanding dealers from New England and New York once again will feature a wide array of fine glass including collections of American brilliant cut glass, Heisey, Fostoria, Fenton, Duncan & Miller and Cambridge, as well as popular patterns of Depression glass, Victorian glass, art glass, elegant glass and more.

Reference books about glass, china, pottery, antiques and collectibles will also be offered for sale by Pam Sheehan, The Village Bookie.

The show starts on Friday, March 9, from 6 to 9 pm, and continues on Saturday, from 10 am until 5 pm. Admission is $4 ($3.50 with a discount coupon). A short program titled, “An Introduction to Twentieth Century American Glass” will be presented, free to the public, by club president, Jim Dwire. The presentation will concentrate on Depression glass, including samples, and starts at 1:30 pm on Saturday. Attendees are encouraged to bring items for identification.

St Mark’s Parish Center is on Quaker Lane South. From I-84 East or West, take Exit 43 (Park Road), right at end of exit, to second light. Turn right onto Quaker Lane South. St Mark’s Parish Center is on your right as you cross over the highway bridge.

The Mountain Laurel Glass Club is an organization dedicated to informing its members and the public about the “art of glass collecting” through programs presented by its members and guest speakers. For further information about the show and membership, 860-643-5353 or james.dwire@snet.net.
