Hawleyville Accident

Police report a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Hawleyville Road, Obtuse Road and Currituck Road about 4:15 pm January 17.

Police said motorist Alexander M. Clark, 66, of 1 Obtuse Road South, who was driving a 1998 Jaguar XJR, stopped on Obtuse Road in preparing to turn left onto Hawleyville Road. Police said Clark told them he could not see due to bright sunshine in his eyes and pulled out onto Hawleyville Road, colliding with oncoming motorist William F. Brunetti, 46, of 77 Butterfield Road, who was driving a 1995 Chevrolet. There were no injuries or enforcement actions, police said.
