George L. Maser

George L. Maser, 92, husband of the late Mary (Dewitt) Maser, died January 12 in the Danbury Hospital. Mr Maser was a resident of Nunnawauk Meadows, Newtown.

Mr Maser was born in Bronx, N.Y., August 15, 1907, a son of the late George and Emily (Eckenfelder) Maser. Mr Maser was a retired draftsman for area industries. He lived at Nunnawauk Meadows the past 19 years and previously resided in the Dodgingtown Section of Newtown for many years.

Mr Maser was a life member of Dodgingtown Volunteer Fire Company and was a member of the Danbury Chapter for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America.

Mr Maser is survived by four cousins, Charlotte Dorn of Bricktown, N.J., Charlotte Kotvas of New Milford, N.J., Alfred Heinemann of Palm City, Fla., and Eleanor Oxenhirt of Leonia, N.J.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 22, at 2 pm in the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown. Burial will take place in Newtown Village Cemetery in the spring. Friends may call Saturday from noon to 2 pm at the funeral home.
