Loved The Outdoors

Tami Sue Studdiford Kowalski, 45, of Wolcott, beloved wife of Robert Kowalski, died January 8 after a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs Kowalski was born November 1, 1962, in Somerville, N.J., and was a resident of Wolcott for the past 16 years.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents, Larry and Carol Studdiford, Sr, of Stratford; a brother, Larry Studdiford, Jr, and his wife, Donna, of Newtown; her sisters, Cheryl Alusik and husband, John, of Stratford and Donna Leroux and husband, Don, of Uncasville; and several nieces and nephews; as well as her cherished dogs, Rhett and Scarlett.

Having grown up in Stratford, she graduated from Bunnell High School and graduated magna cum laude from the Connecticut Business Institute. She continued her education through the years with multiple degrees in business, law, nutritional science, and creative writing. Mrs Kowalski was employed at United Technologies for the past 25 years as a paralegal. She was a member of Long Ridge Writers Group, the National Humane Society, and the American Dietitian Association.

She preferred the outdoors. She skied, hiked, and enjoyed spending time with her dogs. She was a talented cook and baker. The Kowalskis would spend their summer vacations on Cape Cod.

Memorial services were held in the Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, Monroe, January 13.
