‘Portals’ At Wisdom House Gallery

LITCHFIELD — The next exhibition at Marie Louise Trichet Gallery at Wisdom House will be “Portals,” featuring the works of Mary Lou and Robert Alberetti. The show will open on Saturday, January 26, with a reception from 1 to 3 pm, and will remain on view until April 19.

Mary Lou Alberetti has taught at the university level for 30 years and is a professor emerita of Southern Connecticut State University. Her works are in civic, private and corporate collections including HBO World Headquarters, New York City and the Mint Museum of Craft and Design in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her work is also included in Sculpting Clay by Leon Nigrosh and Sculptural Ceramics by Peter King.

Her work is based on her drawings from studies and travels throughout Italy, Spain, and Turkey.

Robert Alberetti is a professor of art at Western Connecticut State University. He teaches workshops at the Caifiordi Art School in Pietralunga, Italy and the Washington Art Association (Washington, Conn.). He has exhibited in museums and galleries nationally and internationally. His work is included in over 25 corporate collections.

He works in oil, collage, mixed media, watercolor and encaustic.

The Alberettis maintain studios in New Fairfield.
