Performers To Stage

‘Charlie Brown’ January 25-26

Musical director and Newtown High School alumni Brett Boles and a principal cast of Newtown students will perform You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown: The Musical at Edmond Town Hall on Friday and Saturday, January 25 and 26. Performances will be at 7:30 both evenings, along with a 2 pm matinee on Saturday.

Mr Boles, who starred in West Side Story, Anything Goes, Blood Brothers and Godspell while he was a student at NHS, now teaches voice and piano and helps Sabrina Post direct musical productions at Sabrina’s Encore Productions, LLC in Newtown. Sabrina’s Encore is the studio producing You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown.

Cast members include Matt Auerbach, Leah Barrett, Bianca Crudo, Hannah DeFlumeri, Jake Eventoff, John Daniel Knapp, Matt Madden, Andrew Nichols, Kristen Stoller, Taylor Varga, and Kaitlyn White. All of the actors in the upcoming Charlie Brown have performed in regional theater productions including Oliver! in 2006, and Aladdin and Aida in 2007.

Also included as part of the production will be a six-piece orchestra, with members boasting regional and Broadway credits.

Ticket prices are $18 for adults and $13 for students and seniors.

There will be a special drawing during each performance. Each lucky winner will receive a Charlie Brown theme basket filled with goodies.
