Erica Masella and Christopher Keane

Announcement is made of the engagement between Erica Masella and Christopher Keane, both of Sandy Hook.

Erica is the daughter of Peter and Pamela Masella of Newtown. She is a 1999 graduate of Newtown High School, and then studied at Springfield College in Springfield, Mass. She is currently attending Southern Connecticut State University, working toward a degree in school health, while also working as a physical education teacher at New Milford High School.

Christopher is the son of Ken and Beverly Keane of Columbia, Md. He is a 1997 graduate of Arundel (Md.) High School, and then attended Salisbury University, Salisbury, Md., where he earned a degree in psychology. He is employed as a driver for UPS.

The couple met while on a cruise called The Rock Boat in 2003. A September 2008 wedding is being planned.
