Head O’ Meadow  Elementary School fourth grade students sang their prepared Winter Chorus Concert under the guidance of school music teacher Cynthia Holberg on Tuesday, January 5, at a school assembly.

As Head O’ Meadow Principal Barbara Gasparine announced at the start of the assembly, the kindergarten through third grade students were watching the dress rehearsal for the then-upcoming Winter Chorus Concert for parents and family members January 6.

While Ms Holberg conducted the students through songs and led them through prepared speeches, Susan Paisley accompanied the group on the piano.

“I hope you enjoy their performance,” Ms Gasparine said near the start of the assembly. “They have been working really hard.”

The group sang songs like “Oh Ev’ry Morn,” “Shalom Chaverim,” “Frosty the Snowman,” “Manx Lullaby,” and “When Winter Comes.”

Students took turns introducing the songs and sharing information about the music. Before students sang a “Patriotic Salute,” a medley of patriotic songs, two students said the songs remind them of what is owed to the country’s servicemen and women.
