Anniversary Year With Retrospectives
LITCHFIELD â On Saturday, January 24, the Marie Louise Trichet Gallery at Wisdom House will open the first of three retrospectives in celebration of its 15th anniversary. The gallery first opened in April 1994.
This first of three group shows will feature the works of artists who have had solo exhibitions in the gallery since it opened. The artists whose work will be included in the first retrospective are Mary Lou Alberetti of New Fairfield, Joy Brown of Kent, Ann Holmes of Westport, the late Leslie James Jacobs of Litchfield, Jack Lardis of Beacon Falls, Jean Linville of Ridgefield, Janet McKenzie of Island Pond, Vt., Jeffrey Stark of Yonkers, N.Y., Missy Stevens of Washington, and Mary Thompson of Litchfield.
The first exhibition will begin at 1:30 pm on January 24 with a presentation titled âCreative Myths and Monsters,â which will be given by Julia Cameron, artist and author of The Artistâs Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity.
The lecture and opening are free and open to the public. A reception and the opening of the exhibit will follow. The exhibit will run until April 18. The main entrance for Wisdom House is at 229 East Litchfield Road (Route 118), at the corner of Clark Road.
