COLD SPRING HARBOR WHALING MUSEUM â RANDY DUCHAINE
ak/gs set 1/16 #725918
COLD SPRING HARBOR, N.Y. â The Whaling Museum on Main Street is hosting a lecture and book signing on Sunday, February 3, at 2 pm. Author Randy Duchaine will speak about and sign his book, New York Waters: Profiles from the Edge.
This is the first book to examine and record, in text and photographs, the lives of the men and women who live, work or play in and along the rivers and coastal waterfronts that surround New York City.
Through this collection of idiosyncratic individuals â young and old, male and female â a picture of a previously unacknowledged New York community emerges, created by the very archipelago on which it exists.
The event is free to museum members and is included in the $5 general admission. For information, 631-367-3418 or www.cshwhalingmuseum.org.
