NOHRA HAIME GALLERY ‘PEOPLED PEOPLE’ TO FEBRUARY 9 w/1 cut

ak/gs set 1/16 #725918

NEW YORK CITY — “Peopled People” is an exploration of how today’s artists in their co-opting of Western figurative traditions are applying painting, photography, drawing, mixed media and digital techniques to create rich images filled with multiple layers of provocative meaning.

At the Nohra Haime Gallery through February 9, the exhibition features the works of ten contemporary artists: Natalia Arias, Rosalyn Bodycomb, Nicola Bolla, Carol K. Brown, Valerie Hird, Amy Hill, Deborah Oropallo, Ivette Salom, Hugo Tillman and Margeaux Walter.

Crossing borders and generations, these artists share a passion for visual punditry, for constructing compositions that can function as mirrors, offering a discrete aspect of the human condition.

The gallery is at 41 East 57th Street. For information, www.nohrahaimegallery.com or 212-888-3550.
